K: Pretty terrible bank. Withdrew money from their atm in local currency and only receive high denominations. So, I went inside which wasn’t particularly busy, and asked them to split the bills into more usable amounts. I was told that they could only provide this ‘service’ to existing Alpha Bank members. Needless to say, I have no intentions to join a rubbish bank like this one.
merep25: I collect currencies from the different countries that my husband and I visit. I went into this branch today as I wanted to change out a few 50 lei's for a 100 and a 200 bill only to take back to Greece with me. I took them out of the Alpha Bank ATM there. I was told they cannot do that with the money changing if I am not a client. I found this rather snobby, rude and left. It is so easy to help a tourist if some effort can be put into it. By the way, my husband is a client of Alpha Bank Greece and he could have gone back and asked for it, but we would much rather just deal with a a polite exchange shop instead.
