Ruaridh Phillips: This place is fairly decent as a bed to stay in for a night or two.The rooms were quite clean, as were the bathrooms. The common area and kitchen are in a cramped and hot basement however, so not an ideal place for spending time.The hostel is run by temporary volunteers however and the level of tidiness around the place reflects this. It has the vibe of a uni student flat. Staff were fairly helpful and friendly though.Pretty conveniently located near the railway station though.

anna assel: Let’s start with the good Review : the Owner is nice and kind.Unfortunately that’s it with the positive things.Our check-in time was quite past midnight even we were there about 7 p.m. and even after the check in we didn’t know which room was ours to sleep in. An another guest had to call the owner and ask for it.The hostel is in my opinion very dirty & even the new bedsheets were definitely not clean. Also the room was dirty and the bathroom which is also smelly and really disgusting and without toilet paper. The kitchen is also in a bad condition & you definitely don’t want to cook there. Besides the miserable cleanliness some guests have the audacity to take stuff from other guests! So somebody took our beer and our food. It’s an absolutely NO-GO! When we checked out there was another guest who’s waiting for the check in about 3 hours. Of course we told the guest about our experience and recommend him to stay at another place. So it’s definitely not worth your money and sorry about to say that even the kindness of the Owner doesn’t make this mess for a place to stay.

Shanice Na: The staff is so lovely, kind and helpful. I enjoyed the stay there a lot. If you don't have plans for the night just stay there in the hostel and other mates will give you company or even the staff will hang out with you.The rooms were always clean, there is a room with a single shower and a toilet you can lock and inside your room there is a locker where you can put your stuff in (with keys!!). Since it is close to old town you can walk to every cool sight seeing spot. The street where the hostel is located first looks shady and dangerous. But it is not really. Always worth a stay if you are there as a backpacker. :)
Gordon Landry: Pretty good for the price. It’s a simple place to sleep for the night. The alley for the hostel looks kinda sketchy but it’s a quick walk towards the main road. The staff was super nice and welcoming. By far the best part about the hostel. My main compliant is that there were bunch of mosquitoes in the room because the AC was timed to only operate during the night (so the windows were left open all day) resulting in an annoying amount of mosquitoes. Also, the rooms do not lock but they do provide a decent sized locker in the rooms

The cleanliness was awesome when i arrived, but during the next days the bathrooms floor got a bit messy due to some people not cleaning after using them :(Beds aren't very comfy, but you get what you pay for.Check in very easy, location quite close to the centrum.

Diane Tippett: Cockroaches throughout in bedrooms and bathrooms, unresponsive to emails and calls, the door to the hostel is unlocked behind a locked gate but it has been left open apparently and there was a man sleeping on the couch when I woke up this morning. I left after one night and paid for a different hostel- and they are unresponsive about a refund. Could not recommend less especially for solo female travellers.

More recently, they have a cafe where you can order in the morning and eat at very affordable prices for anyone. I recommend this hostel. Something simple but clean and with common sense and taste. You are at home.
