ILANY SCHWARTZ: It was considered one of the oldest and most beautiful restaurants in Bucharest, with good food and moderate prices. Now, it became a "factory", long wait, and meals from very good to less than medium quality. The french fries arrived almost cold, the mititei ( still good) ...I asked to be well done, and they served it almost "vivant". At least, the mustard was very good.
Maksymilian Majer: This is a typical tourist location. It was recommended to me by at least five different people as the great place for local cuisine. While the building and the atmosphere have a great vibe with live music and dance performances, the food isn't the best I've had. The local skinless sausages were nice, but the French fries were just awful - not crispy at all. There are better options to eat local food in Bucharest.

Marius Vasile: The burgers ordered were nothing special, especially with the price of over +100 lei. Dry potatoes and absolutely tasteless salad.The meat and cheese platters are an absolute joke at the respective prices, with tomatoes that have no taste and a sliced bread that you can get for 2-3 lei from Mega Image.The staff is very ok but the food is disappointing, in a place where you leave 350-400 lei upwards.

Claudia Milan: Not what we were expecting for such a so called high-class restaurant. First of all, coming from Canada, I found that service was very slow, the waither was polite but slow as I said, food was ordinary, again maybe I had high expectations because it's a famous restaurant. We ate stakes around the world and I can't say the ones from this resto will be one to remember. I feel people are coming here because of the fame of this place but turn out to be dissapointed in the end. I can't recommend this to any traveler but price wise was ok, not cheap, not expensive altough I did not like what I ate. Also if you want to change a thing in the menu(adjust or change salsa or the sides) forget it, they''l not do it. I was particulary surprised by this because in any other country they'll try to accomodate you.Dietary restrictions: They don't accomodate dietary restrictions.
Ciprian Bobo: I came to the Vacamuu restaurant expecting a service that I knew was exceptional, 3-4 years ago. Unfortunately, I found an unkempt restaurant, with untidy tables on the terrace, and with a staff totally out of step with the situation, and without any kind of organization. 10 occupied tables on the terrace, and that's all, and it took them 15 minutes to bring us the menu and... After another 15 minutes, no one came to take our order or even ask us if we want a glass of water. We got up and left. For a restaurant where you easily leave 400-500 ron, it is unacceptable to wait 30 minutes, or even more, just to order.
Iris de winter: We expected a good experience in this steakhouse and all I can say is that it is way much expensive for what they offered. The meat has nothing special, you pay 80 EUR for something that you can find half price in other restaurants. They "forgot" the salad and the fries that were mentioned "included". I have read a lot of good reviews for this venue and perhaps we were just unlucky. Definitely I won't recommend to my friends. Sorry, guys!

Drago Constantine: While the food definitely had a very medieval, and absolutely stylish presentation, it was nothing really special to write home about.The meat platters are bountiful and served with assorted veggies , potatoes and a few garlic sauce dips , pretty interesting flavour profiles, albeit simple.The service and atmosphere though is really exceptional and one of a kind. Bogdan Hurtupan: Great food selection and service. We were seated on the back terrace, which we appreciated because it was quiet and we manage to talk to each other in privacy. The interior looked great as well, the restaurant is situated in a fancy old villa. I recommend asking for "șpriț", a good combination of wine and sparking water - you can get all the details from the waiter.

Piotr: The place is ok but totally overpriced. The food is good but just good. And I now also realised that they have included a tip on my bill without my knowledge. I already saw other opinions posted on this place saying the same. The owner replied this was a mistake and not their practice. Apparently, this is their dishonest practice. Ira Michael Blonder: My Romanian friends warned me to avoid pastrama de berbecut because I would, probably, find it to be very salty and very tough to chewy. But I found this item to be delicious - a bit crispy as befits meat cooked on a barbecue, tender and properly salted to ensure the eater gets the right taste. The item is served, as is the tradition, with a lengthy hot pepper and helping of mamaliga.My only quibble? The portions were a bit small order.Why the 3 rating on the Atmosphere? Sitting at one of Lacrimi si Sfinit's patio tables the frequent passers by smoking cigarettes was an unpleasant distraction. I must note I did have the option of sitting inside where, as is the case for any restaurant, at present, in Romania, smoking is prohibited.A plus on the Atmosphere: the neighborhood was very reminiscent of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, back in the USA from my time as a resident located just a few doors down from what was the Domino sugar factory (now long gone).

Joey Lim: This is the first Romania restaurant we went to, so I was pretty excited given the raving reviews. However, the food wasn't what I expected. We kinda expected the "One more salad" to have a good mix of lentils, roasted peppers, avocado, onions etc. The bowl that came looked like a full bowl of lentils with some condiments. Might as well put it as a side, not a salad. I was so disappointed, it didn't even get a photograph. None of my friends liked their food either. 'God Help me' meat balls were nice but they were lost in the sea of mashed potatoes. So may God help me with the potatoes.

AFKology: The interior is cozy with natural accents such as wood or wool. We stayed in a room on the ground floor, but next time we would like to stay upstairs where we understood that you can see directly into the kitchen. I liked the fact that you are served with still or sparkling water from the house. At first, you are asked if you have food allergies or intolerances. The menu is a tasting menu consisting of twelve dishes: four amuse bouches, three appetizers, two main courses, a pre-dessert, and two desserts. You will not get up fully satiated, but there is just enough food. Each dish is presented by the waiter so that the dinner becomes an experience itself, an incredibly special one. My favorite dishes were the starter with new potatoes and wild garlic, the bread-and-butter service and the dessert with baked yeast ice cream. We had a wonderful and memorable experience at Noua Bucatarie Romaneasca.
