diana dranga: Went here a couple of days ago and got the chimichangas and some dessert. Chimichangas were great, the chicken was well cooked and seasoned. Also, the plate itself contained a lot of vegetables and some rice so it is quite a meal. For the dessert I personally forgot the name, but they were little white balls similar in taste with Raffaelo candies but colder and having more nuts. For drinks I recommend the mango margarita. I would recommend and for sure will come back.

Bogdan P: The location is very close to the Victoriei subway, there are enough tables inside, and the design is average, nothing wow. Portions are really big, you will definitely be full from a burrito, and you can hardly fit a dessert. The price is good, and the restaurant is recommended by the Gault&Millau guide.

Salwa Baroody-Trudel: The food is good. Classic margarita good. I like the place but sometimes the service could be pleasanter. Smile 😀the negative at dinner is that the music is too loud. I requested that they lower the volume which they did not really do. We were shouting over each other. I find that a huge drawback in most restaurants these days. We go to eat and converse not to listen to music.

Gabriela Markova: Expensive and small portions - one quesadilla 50 RON was barely enough for me and at other places I usually have to split it with another person. The sauces with the churros were super bad - I expect when I pay nearly 50 RON for a desert to be at least decent, the chocolate was not even finetti or something cheaper, it was more like a syrup. Not worth it.The cherry on top - the waiter asked my friend if she'd like to leave a tip of 10% of the bill, she did and when we calculated it home we found out that he charged more than the 10% she agreed to without telling her! Incredibly arrogant, impolite behaviour. I am not recommending anyone to visit this place.

Piotr: The place is ok but totally overpriced. The food is good but just good. And I now also realised that they have included a tip on my bill without my knowledge. I already saw other opinions posted on this place saying the same. The owner replied this was a mistake and not their practice. Apparently, this is their dishonest practice. I do not recommend this place at all!

Vlad Nicolas Mitrenca: Super bad quality! Super cramped and crowded, I don't think it was more than 20 m2, they didn't have a toilet, where the hell to wash your hands? I didn't eat there again, until the end, I went to another Ciorbarie. I don't even think it's legal not to have a toilet, because it's about providing all the good conditions for customers, as well as hygiene. But more than that, I don't understand how you got the approval to do that Ciobaria. I don't know what you want to do in the future, but I assure you that you are not on the right track!

Ivona Octavia Laiu: Expensive, but worth it. They change the menu once a season. They have 2 short menus and 1 long tasting menu.The short menus cost 550 RON each and the long one 650 RON. So, for a dinner in two + some cocktails and the included tip, it will cost you about 1400 RON in total.You can make an online reservation and you'll get a reply on your mail with the menus. They accept only card payment. All the details will be on the mail, except the bar menu (cocktail, beer, wine, etc.).I spent there around 3 hours with my boyfriend. The courses/dishes were small, but tasty and presented to us in a tasteful manner. In some photos I've already seen from previous reviews, the menu items seem bigger. They are actually small like the palm of your hand, but very nourishing. I felt already full after the appetizers.The music was smooth jazz (coming from amazing state of the art speakers), the lightning seemed perfect for a time in two.What I enjoyed the most was the tour of the restaurant and its history, at the end of our dinner.The initial house was projected by the same architect of the Arch of Triumph (our Romanian version).It belonged to a boyar and after remained in ruins. It was rehabilitated by the original plan. The walls in the room we had reservation was made of black ceramic tiles - very rare.The floor was made of river stones, the paintings belong to a Romanian artist and everything from the menu is with organic Romanian ingredients. Even the liquid soap from the bathrooms (which smells addictive) is made by a Romanian company.For tourists I think the local wines and their stories would be a delight, too.I also asked about the name of the restaurant. It's called Kane after a Hawaiian god.It was a special dinner and evening for us and we fully enjoyed.

Bogdan Andrei: Riding the new Romanian cuisine wave like a pro surfer.This restaurant is a must go to anyone that is in the search not for the next meal but for the next level experience. A 2-3 hours culinary experience depending on how much time you want to invest... In you.The restaurant is located close to the Old Town, in a very lively old house, renovated and brought back to life by the owners, with no small investment, around half a million euros. This says something about their commitment to good taste and planning to make this location a flagship for their business. Went on a Saturday with a colleague to try their menu and see what is all the hype about them. Had the short menu with wine pairing. The food was.... amazing, from the presentation to the taste. Also I went there a little sceptic when I heard they are a fine dining restaurant... Lots of restaurants in Bucharest advertise themselves as fine dining but at best they are fine cuisine. These guys are the real deal, after each serving they changed the plates, the cutlery, the only thing they didn't changed were the lights which were also cleverly designed to put the food in a "good light", with beams hitting the plates right in the center.The wines, are mostly Romanian, and from small wineries so you might drink there wines that are exclusevly sold to them. I could write more about the food but you need to go and discover it for yourselves, and be aware that they change the menu according to the season as they use food that are most common in the season.In conclusion, your time is an investment and if you want to gain something from it, I recommend you this awesome restaurant.

Adelina Sandu: I chose this place based on the reviews. I say with disappointment that the score of 4.3 does not reflect reality. Maybe the food is good, but unfortunately we didn't get to that point. We ordered something to drink and asked the waiter to leave us the food menu, not having decided what we want to order yet. The waiter's answer was that he can't leave the menu on the table because it doesn't look nice and there is a risk of it getting stained, so he took it from us. I do not recommend this place because of the staff.

We stayed in a room on the ground floor, but next time we would like to stay upstairs where we understood that you can see directly into the kitchen. I liked the fact that you are served with still or sparkling water from the house. At first, you are asked if you have food allergies or intolerances. The menu is a tasting menu consisting of twelve dishes: four amuse bouches, three appetizers, two main courses, a pre-dessert, and two desserts. You will not get up fully satiated, but there is just enough food. Each dish is presented by the waiter so that the dinner becomes an experience itself, an incredibly special one. My favorite dishes were the starter with new potatoes and wild garlic, the bread-and-butter service and the dessert with baked yeast ice cream. We had a wonderful and memorable experience at Noua Bucatarie Romaneasca.

Greg Thompson: Had a lovely time here. The food was delicious, creative and prepared with such care and attention. There's a nice vibe to the place too, it's a nice space and the service never feels stuffy or overbearing in the slightest. I should mention the delicious bottle of Moldovan natural white too (thanks for the recommendation!). Overall a pretty immaculate experience.

ILANY SCHWARTZ: It was considered one of the oldest and most beautiful restaurants in Bucharest, with good food and moderate prices. Now, it became a "factory", long wait, and meals from very good to less than medium quality. The french fries arrived almost cold, the mititei ( still good) ...I asked to be well done, and they served it almost "vivant". At least, the mustard was very good.
Maksymilian Majer: This is a typical tourist location. It was recommended to me by at least five different people as the great place for local cuisine. While the building and the atmosphere have a great vibe with live music and dance performances, the food isn't the best I've had. The local skinless sausages were nice, but the French fries were just awful - not crispy at all. There are better options to eat local food in Bucharest.

Viorel Mocanu: One of the nicest restaurant experiences I've had lately. The main keyword describing this restaurant is "choice". Want air conditioning? No problem, either stay inside for the vanilla sort or go on the large interior terrace for the fans there. Want food? One of the largest collections of pasta, pizza, risotto and other italian dishes are featured in the menu. The waiters were nice and friendly and even sparkled some freshly ground peppers (freshly ground in oversized shakers) in our food on request. Overall, a great find, we'll return for additional meals becaude its's also very central.
