The place has been redone as one single big room which, because it has a theoretically-retractable roof, they consider it as a terrace so they allow smoking everywhere. It’s an absolute farce as, especially in hot days, they fully close the roof and windows to turn the aircon on. So you are in reality in an indoor space full of smokers.They also introduced a valet-only parking system (wasn’t the case before) which means you’re in for quite a wait of leaving at a peak departure time after lunch or dinner.The food is solid across the board. Nothing mind blowing or original, but you can have a good middle-eastern meal there.Service was prompt and polite, though a little smug (especially when I asked them where is the non-smoking part of the restaurant).

Ali Al Fatlawi: I recently had the misfortune of dining at Sindbad and I must say it was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. From the dismissive and obnoxious staff to the lacklustre food quality, this establishment left me feeling utterly disappointed and disgusted. I feel obligated to share my experience in order to caution others before even considering setting foot in this establishment.Let's begin with the staff, particularly a Lebanese lady who epitomised rudeness and dismissiveness. When I discovered a hair and clothing fluff in my food, I politely raised my concern with her, expecting a professional and apologetic response. However, to my astonishment, she nonchalantly dismissed it, claiming that it was "just from clothes" and not a big deal. Such a callous attitude towards a clear breach of hygiene standards is simply unacceptable and reflects the utter disregard this establishment has for its patrons.But the issues didn't end there. The food itself was a dismal disappointment. Not only did it take an excruciating 45 minutes to arrive at our table, but it was also far from fresh. The tasteless and dull presentation left much to be desired. Moreover, the portion sizes were shockingly minuscule considering the exorbitant prices charged. It felt as though we were paying for a mere glimpse of the dish rather than a satisfying meal. The complete absence of value for money left a bitter taste in my mouth, figuratively and quite literally.In addition to the atrocious staff behaviour and subpar food quality, the overall ambiance of the restaurant failed to create a pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere was devoid of warmth and charm, with an air of neglect permeating the entire space. The lack of attention to detail in the decor only further emphasised the failed nature of this establishment.Given my unfortunate encounter, I implore anyone considering dining at Sindbad to think twice before stepping foot inside. The dismissive and obnoxious staff, particularly the Lebanese lady, displayed a level of rudeness that no customer should ever have to endure. Combine that with the unappetising discovery of hair and clothing fluff in the food, the long wait time, stale dishes, and disproportionately small portions for the price, and you have a recipe for disappointment.Save yourself the trouble, disappointment, and potential health hazards by seeking out alternative dining options that prioritise customer satisfaction, hygiene, and quality. Sindbad is a place best avoided, where diners are likely to leave not only with empty wallets but also with an unpleasant taste lingering long after their visit.

Upstairs is decorated nicely, but could maybe do with some music on, and the vibes outside were immaculate. Piotr: The place is ok but totally overpriced. The food is good but just good. And I now also realised that they have included a tip on my bill without my knowledge. I already saw other opinions posted on this place saying the same. The owner replied this was a mistake and not their practice. Apparently, this is their dishonest practice. I do not recommend this place at all!

Salwa Baroody-Trudel: I’m Lebanese and this restaurant serves really good mezze. Even their kebbeh nayeh ( raw minced meat) is good and fresh. Service is good and prices are reasonable within range of other restaurants in the city. Moriya Levy: Terrible experience overall we ordered the Tabbouleh salad which wasn't even an authentic it had only tomatoes and for the price the portion was really small barely filling half of the plate, we also ordered the classic hummus and it tasted like it came from the store very bad quality and again small portions compared to the price, the falafels was dry and blend.We ordered a beer that didn't arrive yet they charged as for it and didn't tell us upfront that it's cash only and fought with us about it, the manager (I guess it was a manager) was so rude we asked him something and he didn't even lift his eyes from his phone and again fought with us and blamed us for not knowing it was cash only yet there wasn't even one sign that says that.I really don't recommend eating there nothing was authentic and tasty especially not for the price.
