Upstairs is decorated nicely, but could maybe do with some music on, and the vibes outside were immaculate. Piotr: The place is ok but totally overpriced. The food is good but just good. And I now also realised that they have included a tip on my bill without my knowledge. I already saw other opinions posted on this place saying the same. The owner replied this was a mistake and not their practice. Apparently, this is their dishonest practice. I do not recommend this place at all!

The staff is nice and attentive but food was disappointing.We ate brunch, the prices are crazy, feels like hipster style but prices should justify the quality or something innovative.The salad is plain leaves with some croutons and pieces of haloumi, tuna sandwich is a plain bread, only has tuna from can and just a little cheese + salad leaves for over 30 lei, they don't add anything to make it restaurant like special or they bothered to be creative.

The hollandaise sauce was sour, the "carefully cooked overnight ham" tastes like boiled cloth. There is no savour whatsoever, the dish is bland. We sent them back after a few bites. It does not live up to what's described and expected.The coffee is ok, nothing out of the ordinary.The service is very quick to take your order or cater to your needs. They made a discount to our meal (we refused and left them the difference).The location is truly beautiful, especially if you can get a seat in the garden.

Robert Prokopowicz: Our definitely favourite place to go for breakfast in Bukareşt. Were visiting it for a second time and they are keeping their mark, a really high one. Excellent food (and here I'm talking about world class, no place related or for the price. They know their kitchen and ingredients, serving few but superb things and rarely changing anything, if they aren't sure it would be even better that way), i really rarely finding nothing to complain about (professional thing being a chef) and it is fullfilling all the goals of the great restaurants. Few amazing dishes in menue, super consistent service and taste, unique place and experience. In a small building you can choose to sit in a bar style area, cozy romantic garden, open terrace with a view or second floor white room (and its all in a few steps one from another, super well planned). Cofee here is amazing, good vines and great cocktail choices. There is nothing that you wouldn't love about the restaurant. They are closing kitchen to prep for a dinner service around 17.00, so be prepared for it. Next time we gona try to dinner there to have a full view, but I can tell it would be perfect.What a place, what a food, what a drinks!Vegetarian options: There are and they are excellent like all the menue.

Singura conditie pentru le trece pragul este de a fi vegan, altfel nu stii sa le apreciezi munca si nici calitatea produselor.Ca preturi, nu sunt nici mari, nici mici, dar calitatea costa.Locatia este simpla, modesta, dar linistita. In fond , te duci sa mananci nu sa te uiti pe pereti.Mi-a placut, o sa mai merg.

Ivona Octavia Laiu: Expensive, but worth it. They change the menu once a season. They have 2 short menus and 1 long tasting menu.The short menus cost 550 RON each and the long one 650 RON. So, for a dinner in two + some cocktails and the included tip, it will cost you about 1400 RON in total.You can make an online reservation and you'll get a reply on your mail with the menus. They accept only card payment. All the details will be on the mail, except the bar menu (cocktail, beer, wine, etc.).I spent there around 3 hours with my boyfriend. The courses/dishes were small, but tasty and presented to us in a tasteful manner. In some photos I've already seen from previous reviews, the menu items seem bigger. They are actually small like the palm of your hand, but very nourishing. I felt already full after the appetizers.The music was smooth jazz (coming from amazing state of the art speakers), the lightning seemed perfect for a time in two.What I enjoyed the most was the tour of the restaurant and its history, at the end of our dinner.The initial house was projected by the same architect of the Arch of Triumph (our Romanian version).It belonged to a boyar and after remained in ruins. It was rehabilitated by the original plan. The walls in the room we had reservation was made of black ceramic tiles - very rare.The floor was made of river stones, the paintings belong to a Romanian artist and everything from the menu is with organic Romanian ingredients. Even the liquid soap from the bathrooms (which smells addictive) is made by a Romanian company.For tourists I think the local wines and their stories would be a delight, too.I also asked about the name of the restaurant. It's called Kane after a Hawaiian god.It was a special dinner and evening for us and we fully enjoyed.

Bogdan Andrei: Riding the new Romanian cuisine wave like a pro surfer.This restaurant is a must go to anyone that is in the search not for the next meal but for the next level experience. A 2-3 hours culinary experience depending on how much time you want to invest... In you.The restaurant is located close to the Old Town, in a very lively old house, renovated and brought back to life by the owners, with no small investment, around half a million euros. This says something about their commitment to good taste and planning to make this location a flagship for their business. Went on a Saturday with a colleague to try their menu and see what is all the hype about them. Had the short menu with wine pairing. The food was.... amazing, from the presentation to the taste. Also I went there a little sceptic when I heard they are a fine dining restaurant... Lots of restaurants in Bucharest advertise themselves as fine dining but at best they are fine cuisine. These guys are the real deal, after each serving they changed the plates, the cutlery, the only thing they didn't changed were the lights which were also cleverly designed to put the food in a "good light", with beams hitting the plates right in the center.The wines, are mostly Romanian, and from small wineries so you might drink there wines that are exclusevly sold to them. I could write more about the food but you need to go and discover it for yourselves, and be aware that they change the menu according to the season as they use food that are most common in the season.In conclusion, your time is an investment and if you want to gain something from it, I recommend you this awesome restaurant.

The place has a vintage (a little run down) look, charming and compelling, in contrast to the menu, which are on a Samsung tablet. And to round up the compliments, the place service was totally up to pair.A very pleasing experience.

Like a tiny rustic garden.Besides this, the food looks good on the menu and on the plate. The problem is when you put what is on the plate inside of your mouth... The food is tasteless, hard to chew - I ordered the stake - and expensive.Literally, you pay for the place.
Piers Posner: Been going here almost as long as it has been opened so don’t expect an unbiased review: very cool interior, charming fin de siècle building, great location, and superb burgers. Yes, the service can be hit & miss at times but my waiters have all been very pleasant. Super gin cocktails in a place that is something of an institution.

AFKology: The interior is cozy with natural accents such as wood or wool. We stayed in a room on the ground floor, but next time we would like to stay upstairs where we understood that you can see directly into the kitchen. I liked the fact that you are served with still or sparkling water from the house. At first, you are asked if you have food allergies or intolerances. The menu is a tasting menu consisting of twelve dishes: four amuse bouches, three appetizers, two main courses, a pre-dessert, and two desserts. You will not get up fully satiated, but there is just enough food. Each dish is presented by the waiter so that the dinner becomes an experience itself, an incredibly special one. My favorite dishes were the starter with new potatoes and wild garlic, the bread-and-butter service and the dessert with baked yeast ice cream. We had a wonderful and memorable experience at Noua Bucatarie Romaneasca.

There's a nice vibe to the place too, it's a nice space and the service never feels stuffy or overbearing in the slightest. I should mention the delicious bottle of Moldovan natural white too (thanks for the recommendation!). Overall a pretty immaculate experience.

Emanuel Radu Niculae: This restaurat is a must if you are visiting or it can even be one of your regular options.The place is cozy inside with a cute terrace, the staff is always attentive and the order is not taking long to be served. The food is absolutely delicious (spaghetti with white souce / proteic wrap / chocolate cake with sour-cherry) with a good variety at the right prices. The prices of the desserts could be slightly lower.They even have a day-to-day menu.Also they are having a TV, showing you how to prepare their recipes.

Florin Iucha: A delicious serving of raw and vegan food in a bright, airy, and inviting cafe. The mushroom pie (looks like a savory galette) was subtly seasoned, to allow the mushrooms shine. The squash patties were accompanied by a tzatiki made with half-cucumber slice, a choice that seemed odd originally, but the freshness of the cucumber was acting as a counterpoint to the crackers. I was told the raw beet soup was excellent. We finished with the "strawberry cake" where the strawberry must have been lost in translation, as what we received was more of a raw cheesecake with pomegranate arils and frozen blueberries - subtly sweet and tart and umami - we forgot all about strawberries!Dietary restrictions: Everything is well labeled for ingredients and allergens. Plenty of gluten-free options.

Stephen LACAZE: We had an unfortunate experience in this establishment, which would seem to be (based on other reviews) unusual, but nonetheless, I can only rate on what I experienced .It had obviously been a busy night, but one that the hotel knew was coming. Either the cafe was understaffed or disorganised, but lots of empty tables still had dirty dishes on them.After eventually being seated, another delay , even though we knew exactly what we wanted to order.The order was placed ... And the real waiting began ! Over an hour from seating to eating !As if to add injury to insult, serving size was very inconsistent, with a large seafood risotto looking significantly smaller than a small chicken risotto. Some tables get bread ... Some don't ... Who knows why ?Mercifully, the food was actually of a high standard, well presented and reasonably priced !
