Piotr: The place is ok but totally overpriced. The food is good but just good. And I now also realised that they have included a tip on my bill without my knowledge. I already saw other opinions posted on this place saying the same. The owner replied this was a mistake and not their practice. Apparently, this is their dishonest practice. I do not recommend this place at all!

Adelina Sandu: Am ales acest local in urma recenziilor. Spun cu dezamagire ca punctajul de 4,3 nu reflecta realitatea. Poate mâncarea este buna, dar din pacate nu am ajuns pana in acel punct. Am comandat ceva de baut și am cerut ospătarului sa ne mai lase meniul de mancare nefiind încă hotărați ce vrem sa comandam. Răspunsul ospătarului a fost ca nu ne poate lasă meniul pe masa din cauza ca aspectul nu este unul placut și exista riscul de a se pata, așa ca ni le-a luat din mana. Nu recomand acest loc din cauza personalului.

Probabil unul dintre ei este șeful de tura sau ceva, dar este ireal cum ii spuneam sa ne aducă ceva și așteptam 30 minute sa ni se aducă, deoarece domnul de fiecare data uita sau se intersecta cu 5 persoane și stătea de vorba.Am așteptat 1h ca cineva sa ne aducă o nota, in condițiile in care le am făcut semn, după văzând ca ne tot uitam insistent și ne pierdeam răbdarea au revenit și ne-au spus ca a durat atât din cauza faptului ca au încurcat mesele și sa le spunem mai exact ce am comandat. Am trecut peste, am înțeles. Fix in momentul acela un alt ospătar aducea o nota la masa de lângă. Am mai așteptat 20 de minute, timp in care încă doi ospătari au venit sa ne întrebe ce dorim, iar noi repetam pentru încă a 3 a oară ca doar așteptam nota pe care nimeni nu o aduce, deși vorbisem cu cel putin 3 ospătari despre asta. Ni s-a dat același răspuns…imediat. Am mai așteptat 10 minute ca sa vina sa ni se spună ca au probleme cu calculatorul și nu pot scoate nota. Pai cu 30 de minute înainte ni se spusese ca au încurcat mesele, acum aveau probleme cu calculatorul, pana la urma care era de fapt adevarata problema? Deși așa cum am precizat, la masa de lângă aduseseră nota fără problema. Pana la urma am plecat fără sa primim bonul, deoarece deja așteptam de 1h, și am lăsat banii pe care ii știam noi pentru consumația noastră.Probabil nici nu au fost înregistrați. Au ajuns in buzunarele dvs. si probabil asta este o noua fenta fie de-a patronilor, fie de-a ospătarului. Dacă nu s-ar fi încurcat in minciuni, poate am fi zis ca e o greșeală, dar deja după ce 3-4 ospătari vin la tine, le zici ce vrei și de fapt niciunul după nu se duce înăuntru sa încerce sa vadă care e problema, ei rămânând afara zambind de parca nu le cerusei nimic, e clar ca undeva e o problema.

Yarden Ratner: Our experience was absolutely appalling. Our waiter was very aggressive, impatient and disrespectful. We asked for how the carbonara pasta is, he mimicked us and said it’s pasta with bacon what do you want? Then turned the next person and said - “next”. During our whole time he was aggressively cleaning the table around us, didn’t ask if we need anything else, how the food/drinks are or any other service you would expect from a waiter at a decent restaurant.When we asked to split the bill he said he just doesn’t want to do that and pushed the card machine onto our credit card, charged one of us the full amount, threw the receipt on the table and walked away.He was a short haired, tall and thin waiter. I hope know one ever has to have such a sad experience at this restaurant.I advise to chose one of the hundred other restaurants in the old town- KEEP AWAY.

Stephen LACAZE: We had an unfortunate experience in this establishment, which would seem to be (based on other reviews) unusual, but nonetheless, I can only rate on what I experienced .It had obviously been a busy night, but one that the hotel knew was coming. Either the cafe was understaffed or disorganised, but lots of empty tables still had dirty dishes on them.After eventually being seated, another delay , even though we knew exactly what we wanted to order.The order was placed ... And the real waiting began ! Over an hour from seating to eating !As if to add injury to insult, serving size was very inconsistent, with a large seafood risotto looking significantly smaller than a small chicken risotto. Some tables get bread ... Some don't ... Who knows why ?Mercifully, the food was actually of a high standard, well presented and reasonably priced !

Ivona Octavia Laiu: Expensive, but worth it. They change the menu once a season. They have 2 short menus and 1 long tasting menu.The short menus cost 550 RON each and the long one 650 RON. So, for a dinner in two + some cocktails and the included tip, it will cost you about 1400 RON in total.You can make an online reservation and you'll get a reply on your mail with the menus. They accept only card payment. All the details will be on the mail, except the bar menu (cocktail, beer, wine, etc.).I spent there around 3 hours with my boyfriend. The courses/dishes were small, but tasty and presented to us in a tasteful manner. In some photos I've already seen from previous reviews, the menu items seem bigger. They are actually small like the palm of your hand, but very nourishing. I felt already full after the appetizers.The music was smooth jazz (coming from amazing state of the art speakers), the lightning seemed perfect for a time in two.What I enjoyed the most was the tour of the restaurant and its history, at the end of our dinner.The initial house was projected by the same architect of the Arch of Triumph (our Romanian version).It belonged to a boyar and after remained in ruins. It was rehabilitated by the original plan. The walls in the room we had reservation was made of black ceramic tiles - very rare.The floor was made of river stones, the paintings belong to a Romanian artist and everything from the menu is with organic Romanian ingredients. Even the liquid soap from the bathrooms (which smells addictive) is made by a Romanian company.For tourists I think the local wines and their stories would be a delight, too.I also asked about the name of the restaurant. It's called Kane after a Hawaiian god.It was a special dinner and evening for us and we fully enjoyed.

Once the Michelin guide decides to extend to Romania, I am sure they will receive a star! I understand it is pricey but if you can afford it give it a try! Bogdan Andrei: Riding the new Romanian cuisine wave like a pro surfer.This restaurant is a must go to anyone that is in the search not for the next meal but for the next level experience. A 2-3 hours culinary experience depending on how much time you want to invest... In you.The restaurant is located close to the Old Town, in a very lively old house, renovated and brought back to life by the owners, with no small investment, around half a million euros. This says something about their commitment to good taste and planning to make this location a flagship for their business. Went on a Saturday with a colleague to try their menu and see what is all the hype about them. Had the short menu with wine pairing. The food was.... amazing, from the presentation to the taste. Also I went there a little sceptic when I heard they are a fine dining restaurant... Lots of restaurants in Bucharest advertise themselves as fine dining but at best they are fine cuisine. These guys are the real deal, after each serving they changed the plates, the cutlery, the only thing they didn't changed were the lights which were also cleverly designed to put the food in a "good light", with beams hitting the plates right in the center.The wines, are mostly Romanian, and from small wineries so you might drink there wines that are exclusevly sold to them. I could write more about the food but you need to go and discover it for yourselves, and be aware that they change the menu according to the season as they use food that are most common in the season.In conclusion, your time is an investment and if you want to gain something from it, I recommend you this awesome restaurant.

ILANY SCHWARTZ: It was considered one of the oldest and most beautiful restaurants in Bucharest, with good food and moderate prices. Now, it became a "factory", long wait, and meals from very good to less than medium quality. The french fries arrived almost cold, the mititei ( still good) ...I asked to be well done, and they served it almost "vivant". At least, the mustard was very good.
Maksymilian Majer: This is a typical tourist location. It was recommended to me by at least five different people as the great place for local cuisine. While the building and the atmosphere have a great vibe with live music and dance performances, the food isn't the best I've had. The local skinless sausages were nice, but the French fries were just awful - not crispy at all. There are better options to eat local food in Bucharest.
