The host seemed very suspicious and unfriendly with no hint as to why, and the exam papers, including sketches were collected carelessly by hand with no envelope. The exam was failed and this experience has also contributed to me dropping the studies. Never again will I trust my money and competences to other people, whilst living in Romania! Throughout many years there I have learned that Romanians envy and secretly hate other Romanians coming from the West. It's better if you just stay in the West and turn your back to Romania forever. Today me, who am a Romanian citizen together with my husband, who is a 3rd country citizen, came to the Embassy in order to apply for a short term Visa for accompanying a EU Family member for my husband as we will have a tour in Europe and would like to visit Ireland as well. Madame Nicoleta was very rude, not only she wasn't letting us talk at all but the tone of her voice was unacceptable. She did not even look at the original documents properly but straight away told us we had to apply for tourist visa because as per her knowledge Visa for Family member of EU citizen is only when you intend to move and live in Ireland. Not only this information is wrong as per your website but as well as per EU law. Plus her insisting on tourist Visa instead means she would've made us eventually pay for something which by EU law has to be for free. She then unceremoniously without saying a word threw the documents at us and told us our application will get denied and it will take 8 weeks for a decision and walked away on us. However by EU law and according to your website, applications made by a EU family member should be processed as soon as possible. When I asked to talk with the Counselor because I didn't like the way she was talking to us she said that the Counselor is not there and she doesn't know when or what day he will be in the office. I have never ever encountered such an uneducated and impolite way of behaviour at any previous Embassies I've ever dealt with. This kind of attitude doesn't give the Republic of Ireland a good appearance for somebody who wants to travel to Ireland and spend their money there. I genuinely think that you deservemuch better and qualified workers in order to make the Embassy look presentable and polite to other citizens. I would kindly request you to take my complaint seriously and take measurements into improving your staff's quality.
