Mihnea Georgescu: There is no phone number, don't follow the schedule on the website, I don't accept dogs for 4-5 years, I found an abandoned puppy that I spent an hour transporting by car, where it vomited more than 5 times, to find out that nothing can be done, most probably all abandonment on the streets is the most effective in Romania unfortunately

Marius Cojocaru: I took two six-month-old girls. It is clean, they have a playground, they have toys, food, everything they need for a good life until they find their parents. The dogs are given up for adoption on contract which is great.Update: There were a total of 5 girls, all of them were adopted outside the country. I received pictures of the new home, I'm happy they ended up in good hands!

Iulia Gheorghita: I am very shocked to see all of the five star reviews this place has all over the internet. Fundația Speranța must have a really great PR team to have achieved that. A friend has brought 8 dogs here over the years. Four dogs died inside (not from old age - they told her the dogs were found dead in their cages) and the other four she recently fought to remove (waiting all day outside the shelter to fight for them). The dogs are all infested with fleas and are losing their hair, as you can see in the pictures. When asked about treating the dogs with flea protection, the shelter administrator Aurelian Deliu said that it was too expensive. My friend brought the medicine there herself - they were not happy about this. They don't want people looking too closely at their corrupt scheme. My friend asked about the veterinary care the dogs are supposed to receive and why the dogs were in such bad shape. The vet said that it's because the dogs are old and that if she didn't like it she could take the dogs home. After years of donating to the place, they decided she was asking too many questions and barred her from visiting.Animal lovers want to believe that this shelter is a good thing, but Fundația Speranța is capitalizing on their sympathy. (See their social media pages to witness the impunity.) Corruption at its absolute worst!
